Lamar Miller, Knowshon Moreno's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 6

Andrew GouldOct 12, 2014

Knowshon Moreno is back, but Lamar Miller isn't going away without a fight.

Entering the fourth quarter, Ryan Tannehill gained more rushing yards than Miller and Moreno combined against the Green Bay Packers. Given a golden matchup, the Miami Dolphins' rushing tandem looked poised to squander a prime opportunity for points.

Then Miller stormed back, salvaging a slow-starting day with a touchdown and some late yardage.

Meanwhile, Moreno returned from a three-week absence in unappetizing fashion, gaining 10 yards on six carries. Their outings are both disappointing considering Green Bay entered Week 6 allowing an NFL-worst 163 rushing yards per game.

The Sun Sentinel's Omar Kelly's early assessment of the situation appears accurate.

Moreno had a huge Miami debut before going on the shelf, but Miller proved he belongs before his return. With both men vying for touches, Miller gets downgraded to a low-end No. 2 while Moreno is at best a flex play until he can prove otherwise.
