Storm Johnson, Jordan Todman's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 6

Andrew GouldOct 12, 2014

A struggling Jacksonville Jaguars rushing game hasn't improved with Toby Gerhart out of the lineup.

The free-agent signing was ruled out due to a sprained right foot, clearing the way for Storm Johnson, Jordan Todman and Denard Robinson to steal the fantasy points against the Tennessee Titans' No. 26 rushing defense in Week 6.

Johnson punched in a one-yard touchdown early in the first quarter, but none of Jacksonville's backs amassed any significant yardage during Sunday's game. Blake Bortles led the team with 38 rushing yards.

Before the game, head coach Gus Bradley declared, per an Associated Press report, via FloridaToday.com, that he will get everyone involved.

"I think that you will see all three of them have a chance to play in different roles," Bradley said. "It does create opportunities. It is that cliche 'next man up,' so it will give more opportunities to D-Rob and Todman and Storm. All three will be utilized."

Todman turned four touches into one yard, so nothing to see there. Robinson has factored into the receiving game, but Johnson has gained the bulk of the carries. Bleacher Report's Matt Miller doesn't see the rookie's role vanishing any time soon:

Johnson is the lone fantasy-relevant guy here, and he warrants a speculative waiver add given Gerhart's struggles this season. Just don't toss him into the starting lineup next week because of one short-yardage score.
