Sunday Night Football Week 6: TV Schedule, Live Stream for Giants vs. Eagles

Brian MaziqueOct 12, 2014

Sunday night's NFC East clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants will be one of the biggest games of the season thus far. No one would have believed that after watching Eli Manning and the G-Men struggle in the first two weeks of the season.

New York began 0-2 and Manning was throwing interceptions at an even higher rate than in 2013 when he tossed 27. Since then, the Giants have won three games in a row and Manning has been picked off only once.

Surprisingly, the Giants look like one of the toughest teams in the suddenly rough and tumble NFC East.

The Eagles were expected to shine, and while they are 4-1, the team has yet to put together a solid 60 minutes of football. If they hope to keep pace with or gain ground on the Giants and Dallas Cowboys in the division, the Eagles will need to play well.

Here's the viewing information for this crucial division matchup.

The Turnover Battle is Key to Victory

Staying away from turnovers is key for the Giants and Eagles. Both quarterbacks have had their problems taking care of the football, but most recently, Nick Foles has been a giveaway machine.

After throwing just two interceptions in 317 pass attempts in 2013, Foles has already been picked off five times this season. In addition to the interceptions, he's fumbled four times. He's been a big reason the Eagles are minus-4 in turnover margin this season.

His teammates have bailed him out and somehow Philly is sitting at 4-1. However, with the way the Giants offense has been playing over the last three weeks, Foles can't afford to give the ball away Sunday night.

The same can be said for Manning. He must continue to be smart with the football and allow his running game to create a balanced attack that keeps the Eagles' fast-paced attack on the sidelines.

While Foles has been to blame for his share of turnovers, the Eagles defense has forced eight of their own to help cancel out the offense's mistakes. The Giants and Manning must not throw the Eagles a life line.

The winner of the turnover battle will seize control of the game and the division.
