2009 College Football Preview: Week Two Must See Games
I recently read an article dealing with the top 50 games to watch in 2009. I really liked the article a lot, and thought I can do something like this dealing with each week.
The link for the article which gave me the idea is http://bleacherreport.com/articles/220155-ready-for-some-football-the-50-biggest-games-in-09. Sean Megan the author did a very good job.
So here are my top 20 picks for the second week of the College Football season.
#20 Duke @ Army: For the Blue Devils to prove that they are on the right track, they need to win games like these.
#19 UCF @ Southern Mississippi: A good Conference USA battle early in the season to find a team to battle with Tulsa and Houston this year.
#18 Bowling Green @ Missouri: Bowling Green pulled an upset last year, can they do it again? Missouri needs this game to prove that they belong in BIG 12 Title talk.
#17 Central Michigan @ Michigan State: This will be a great battle between two good teams. Central Michigan needs this game to prove they are a top team in the country.
#16 Western Michigan @ Indiana: Look for Western to earn an upset of a BIG 10 school here.
#15 Houston @ Oklahoma State: A great game to see two high powered offenses at work.
#14 Air Force @ Minnesota: Both teams have something to prove and Minnesota opens a new stadium; this will be a great day for an epic game.
#13 Pittsburgh @ Buffalo: Can the Bulls prove last year wasn’t a fluke? Pittsburgh must win this game to have any shot at a BCS Title.
#12 Stanford @ Wake Forest: Two teams that were up and down last year need this game to start out the year the right way.
#11 Iowa @Iowa State: In-State rivalry game, can’t beat that.
#10 Mississippi State @ Auburn: New coaches for both teams in their first SEC game, got to love it.
#9 Vanderbilt @ LSU: LSU needs to make a statement in this game while Vandy needs to prove that last year wasn’t a fluke.
#8 North Carolina @ Connecticut: A good game between two middle of the pack BCS schools.
#7 TCU @ Virginia: TCU starts Virginia's season, and the Cavaliers need to start out big in a bid for a BCS berth.
#6 South Carolina @ Georgia: Which team will prove to be a better match for the Gators for the East title?
#5 UCLA @ Tennessee: We all remember what went down last year. Look for another classic battle.
#4 Clemson @ Georgia Tech: A great early ACC matchup to start the year. Both teams need this one for their ACC title hopes.
#3 East Carolina @ West Virginia: This game will be awesome. Both teams have something to prove.
#2 Notre Dame @ Michigan: This game will prove whether Notre Dame is back or not.
#1 USC @ Ohio State: An early season matchup of two titans in college football. If you can only watch one game this week, this is the game to see.
