Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 5
Fantasy football owners were upset to see Robert Turbin taking away some of Marshawn Lynch's carries against the Washington Redskins, but this does not appear to be a long-term issue.
After a slow start, Lynch took over the majority of carries in the backfield and was able to remain productive for the Seattle Seahawks as the game continued. Here is a look at the stats for each player in Week 2:
| Marshawn Lynch | 17 | 72 | 5 | 45 | 6 | 1 |
| Robert Turbin | 5 | 19 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Of course, this did not appear like it would be the case when the game first started, as noted by NFL.com:
This was even weirder when it seemed as though nothing was wrong with Lynch, according to Will Brinson of CBS Sports:
After the Seahawks win, coach Pete Carroll clarified why Lynch was out of the first series via Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR:
Turbin ended up producing 15 rushing yards on three carries in the first half, which is actually a lot for a running back who had just four rushing attempts in the past two games combined.
However, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports explained the problem at halftime:
Once Lynch got into the swing of things, he appeared to be playing just as well as ever. He racked up the yards on both the ground and through the air and scored a touchdown to extend an impressive streak:
This is good news for fantasy owners concerned that the Seahawks were limiting him for some reason. Instead, it was just a minor injury that will likely not be a problem going forward.
As long as he is active, Lynch should be in virtually every fantasy football lineup regardless of the matchup.
Turbin remains a decent handcuff option if a more serious injury were to occur to the starter, but otherwise he does not need to be owned except in the deepest leagues.
