Manchester United youngster Paddy McNair is the latest player to join Louis van Gaal's injury list after the defender suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday.
BBC Sport confirmed the 19-year-old would be absent for an estimated three weeks and will miss Northern Ireland's upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Greece. John Brewin of ESPN jokingly saw it as natural the prospect should pick up injury given his new first-team status:
McNair has started in each of the Red Devils' last two Premier League outings, seeing wins over West Ham and Everton over the past fortnight and hoping to establish himself as a regular in Van Gaal's setup.
However, the teenager will have to wait before that comes a reality, with fellow centre-backs Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling also coping with injury of late.
