Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has assured Real Madrid supporters that his client has no intention of leaving the club, despite continuing speculation regarding a return to Manchester United.

"He's very happy at Real Madrid," Mendes told Cadena Cope (h/t AS). "It's impossible to take Cristiano away from the club."

He continued:

"

We’ll never find another like him He’s getting better every day and will continue to improve until he gets to 40 years of age. Cristiano is happy at Real Madrid and always has been. He’s going to beat all records and will retire here.

He still retains a special feeling for United as he spent six years there. Now he only has feelings for Real Madrid and wants to stay here forever, he’s extremely happy. One thing he has is respect for those people who remember him but his interest is with Madrid.

"

Mendes concluded the interview by saying that Ronaldo's immediate goal is to win another Champions League trophy with Los Merengues.

FIFA agent Francois Gallardo has stated that Real Madrid are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore.

Speaking to the Spanish sports show El Chiringuito (h/t Football Espana) he said the following regarding a potential move to the Bernabeu for the 25-year-old.

"

Real Madrid have their eyes on Pastore. He played in the Champions League last week and was very important in PSG beating Barcelona.

He’s a player with wonderful technique and is pure elegance when playing in midfield. Madrid are monitoring his situation in case of any departures next summer, although he could also join Barcelona.

"

Football Espana note that PSG would seek a fee of around €25 million.

In an interview with Spanish television station Canal+ (h/t Marca), Iker Casillas has confirmed that he did consider leaving Real Madrid over the summer but instead decided to stay on and prove his worth.

"There was a lot of talk about an offer from Arsenal, but there was nothing concrete," he explained. "I want to stay at Real Madrid, keep fighting here and finish my career here."

He did, though, suggest that he would be open to a move abroad before he retires from the game.

"I would like to have some experience abroad before retiring," he said. "I think it would help me to appreciate Real Madrid even more. I am convinced that if you go abroad, you will realise what this club represents for the whole world."

Sami Khedira

Tuesday, October 7

Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport (h/t Football Espana) report that AC Milan will rival Arsenal for the signature of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

Khedira is out of contract next summer and is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with interested parties in January. Madrid president Florentino Perez is, however, thought to be keen to offload the German international during the winter transfer window to ensure the club receive a transfer fee.

Previous reports suggested that Arsenal had agreed personal terms with Khedira. But with a fee yet to be agreed with Madrid, there could still be an opportunity for Milan to join the running.

Raheem Sterling

Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers is certain that Raheem Sterling will remain at Anfield.

Sterling, who is currently in the process of negotiating an improved contract, has been linked with both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks.

"The boy is remarkably happy here and there are no secondary thoughts about anything else other than continuing to play for Liverpool," Rodgers confirmed, as per David Maddock of the Daily Mirror"His agent is good agent and he understands this is the perfect place for him."

Maddock writes that the Reds have prepared a bumper new deal for the 19-year-old: "Liverpool have already given the young star one new contract, taking his salary to around £50,000 a week, but they are prepared to offer a new deal that will double that, and will be heavily incentivised to even match the £150,000 that Daniel Sturridge now earns."

It therefore seems unlikely that Sterling will be on his way to either Madrid or Paris just yet.
