Arsenal Linked with Yohan Cabaye

Arsenal have been alerted to the unhappiness of Paris Saint-Germain midfield Yohan Cabaye.

According to France Football (h/t The Daily Mail), Cabaye is disappointed to have found himself struggling for a regular place in Laurent Blanc's team.

Wenger is a confirmed admirer of Cabaye, having bid for him in August of 2013 when the France international was still with Newcastle. Perhaps he will consider returning for him in January as a replacement for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal Plotting Edinson Cavani Swoop?

Spanish website Fichajes.net (h/t The Metro) claims negotiations have begun on a deal to take Edinson Cavani to Arsenal.

However, it's difficult to take the rumour too seriously. With Danny Welbeck on the books and Olivier Giroud having signed a brand new contract, it's difficult to see Arsenal finding room for a forward in January.

Arsenal Step Up Julian Draxler Chase

Julian Draxler has been a long-term target for Arsenal, and according to Sunday People Sport (h/t the Daily Mirror's Aaron Flanagan) Arsenal are now stepping up their pursuit of the German midfielder.

The Gunners reportedly watched the Schalke 04 star in action against Maribor in the Champions League.

Draxler would bring versatility and power to the Arsenal squad. However, it is unlikely he could be prised away from Schalke before next summer.

Arsenal Set for Scouting Overhaul

Arsenal's scouting department could be set for a radical overhaul. According to Sunday People Sport (h/t Flanagan), former Leeds and Reading boss Brian McDermott has agreed a three-year deal to assist Arsenal with their recruitment.

McDermott, who was himself an Arsenal player, will work alongside Steve Rowley to scour the globe for potential signings.
