Buffalo Bills cornerback Ron Brooks was carted off the field in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions after landing on his head while covering a punt return.

Following the game, Rodak provided more information on the next steps in Brooks' care:
The 25-year-old cornerback took a low block while tracking Lions return man Jeremy Ross, flipping over and landing on his head. The game was delayed for several minutes as trainers from both sides secured Brooks' head in proper restraints.
Brooks, who largely plays on special teams, had six tackles coming into Week 5. A fourth-round pick in 2012 out of LSU, Brooks is in his third season with the Bills.
