Eddie Lacy's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 5
The cure for a struggling running back might be the Minnesota Vikings defense. After struggling laboring through the Green Bay Packers' first four games of 2014, Eddie Lacy punished the Vikes on Thursday night to the tune of 105 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Lacy more than doubled up his previous best rushing output this year.
You can see his stats from Thursday and how they compare with what he's done in each of the previous four games.

One particular run will undoubtedly get fans excited that the sophomore runner is back to his best. Lacy lowered the shoulder and sent Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes to the turf before continuing his impressive run, per Tom Pelissero of USA Today:
CBSSports.com's Jeff Borzello joked that Thursday afternoon was the last time you could hope to get Lacy for a reasonable price:
While Minnesota had a good run defense through its four games, the team is such a mess that you shouldn't read too much into Lacy's performance. It's obviously encouraging; you just shouldn't begin to expect this from the Packers star every week.
Owners will likely be a little upset with Packers head coach Mike McCarthy's decision not to continue pounding the Vikings defense with Lacy on the ground.
However, given Lacy's physical running style, it was a good idea to rest him in a game where the outcome was decided early. Ideally, that helps him to avoid any sort of usage injury later in the season.
