Suso Injury: Updates on Liverpool Star's Groin and Return
Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso is expected to miss around two months of action due to a groin injury that will require surgery.
He announced the absence on Instagram. He provided a picture of himself icing the injury, saying, "Just to tell you I'll be out of the team for a couple of months with a surgery operation next week [because] of my groins...I'll be back soon. Stronger than ever."
ESPN passed along comments from manager Brendan Rodgers, who last week praised the midfielder for continuing to work hard despite a lack of playing time.

"He's a young boy who has come in and worked hard in pre-season, but he hasn't had a lot of game time," he said. "That's been difficult for him, I'm sure, but he's never shown it. He's shown the same appetite in training."
Suso enjoyed a solid loan stint with Almeria last term. He netted three goals and seven assists in 33 La Liga appearances. Liverpool brought him back into the squad, hoping that Suso's improved play would give them more depth ahead of a busy slate this season.
Instead, he joins a growing injury list for the Reds that's putting added pressure on Rodgers. And Suso must wait at least a few more months to showcase his progress. A clearer timetable should emerge in the weeks ahead.
