During his time in Manchester, Park won four Premier League titles, one Champions League, three League Cups, and played over 200 games for the club.

United outlined what Park would be doing in his new role via a statement on their official website.

"

The highly decorated player will attend various events and functions on behalf of the club, promoting the work it does within the community and with its partners, sharing anecdotes from his time at Old Trafford.

"

Park, who retired at the end of last season, played 100 times for South Korea, and was a member of the team that reached the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup on home soil.

His first appearance back at the club will be on Sunday before the clash with Everton, when he will be paraded on the pitch alongside former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
