NBA 2K15 Unveils New MyPark, Jordan Rec Center and the Stage Modes

The NBA 2K15 hype train just jumped even higher.

On Wednesday, 2K Sports announced the new MyPark and Jordan Rec Center modes for the upcoming release. Conceptually, the two modes blend together popular concepts from the game's storied past in hopes of creating the ultimate cooperative online experience.

Gamers can take their MyPlayers online to team up with friends or strangers for a game of pickup basketball. The games can be played on a street court or inside at the Jordan Rec Center equipped with NBA rules and officials.

At the very end of the video above, there's a teaser for a spin-off mode called The Stage. What is this all about? 

Per this video from NBA 2K super fan and YouTube personality Chris Smoove, who visited 2K headquarters for a sneak peek, it's a mode that allows gamers to test their skills in games where they can wager virtual currency.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are now at the next level.

NBA 2K15 releases on Oct. 7 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
