The Philippines face Mongolia on Wednesday to decide who will finish in the seventh and eighth spots in the competition.
It has been a largely disappointing campaign for Gilas after they missed their opportunity to fight out for a medal by claiming only a narrow win over Kazakhstan.

From a Filipino point of view, Wednesday's encounter represents the underwhelming performance they have put in at the 2014 Asian Games as it is only for seventh place, and not a medal match.
They are already confirmed their worst finish in the Asian Games men's basketball competition, not a particularly auspicious fact.
Indeed, The Daily Tribune's Julius Manicad is particularly damning about the occasion, condemning the lowly position in which Gilas find themselves:
However, there is some pride to be salvaged and it would make absolutely no sense to take to the court without a desire to win, especially as the Mongolians will be desperate to claim a famous victory over their more storied opponents.
The East Asian side lost by nine points to the Qataris and were soundly beaten by Japan, Iran and China in the round-robin quarter-final stages.
They have claimed victories against Hong Kong, the Maldives and Jordan in the competition this year but do not look likely to pose the Philippines a major threat.
A convincing win then is what is needed for Gilas to restore at least some sense of achievement. Furthermore, after a tournament which has involved some controversy for the team, they will be looking to finish on a high.
Marcus Douthit was benched for a game for disciplinary reasons in the loss to South Korea, per GMA News, but will be an important factor on Wednesday.
While it has not been the greatest of tournaments for Gilas they should be able to claim the win against Mongolia and quite convincingly. Anything different truly would be a disaster.
