Original Text

The Houston Texans could have to survive without one of the most experienced players on the offense with Andre Johnson dealing with an ankle injury.

James Palmer of CSN first noted the problem as the wide receiver dealt with the injury:

Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bigger issue than that as he was taken into the locker room:

Albert Breer of NFL Network noted his status:

Following the game, Adam Wexler of CSN Houston passed along comments from Johnson:

The fact that he was moving around well is encouraging, but it is unclear whether this will turn out to be a serious issue. Before coming out of the game, he had a team-high 71 yards on six catches.

With Johnson off the field, the Texans will look to second-year wideout DeAndre Hopkins to pick up the slack.
