Original Text
Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell suffered an apparent concussion in Week 4 against the New York Jets.
Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com passed the news along after the injury:
Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press updated Bell's status following the game:
The fourth-year running back has 48 attempts for 152 yards and a touchdown along with nine receptions for 73 yards this season, splitting time with Reggie Bush in the Lions' backfield.
Jeff Risdon of Draft Lions noted Bell's performance as a blocker as well:
Luckily for Detroit, it already has a potent back in Bush ready to step up. While he has been overshadowed by Bell at times, Bush can carry the load when necessary.
If Bell is forced to miss any time, the Lions will certainly miss his depth in the backfield. Having matchups with the Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons in three of the next four weeks, the offense will need to be impressive to keep up.
