Eddie Lacy, James Starks' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 4
There was a panic sweeping around the nation this week, as Eddie Lacy owners who had used a first-round pick on the player began to dramatically shop the underachieving running back on the trade market.
I tried to warn people that he would rebound. I tried to tell them that his 10 total points after three weeks was a product of brutal matchups against good run defenses like the San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets and Detroit Lions and not an indication of a player who was destined to be a fantasy bust.
Maybe they listened. Maybe they didn't. But Lacy did indeed begin to redeem himself on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Perhaps we do need to adjust our expectations for Lacy somewhat, however. Believed to be a safe RB1 coming into the season, it's clear that Aaron Rodgers and company are at their best when throwing the ball, so Lacy's usage might warrant an RB2 designation from here on out.
As for James Starks, he remains nothing more than a nice handcuff to have on the bench if you're a Lacy owner. Starks has just 15 carries on the season so it's becoming pretty obvious that he's nothing more in this offense than Lacy's deputy. Unless you own Lacy, Starks doesn't need to be owned at this point.
