The Carolina Panthers have to deal with yet another injury in the backfield with DeAngelo Williams suffering an ankle injury in the team's Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer notes the player is out the rest of the game with an ankle injury:

Following the game, Jones reported on Williams' injured ankle:

Williams had missed the last two games with a thigh injury, but he returned to the field Sunday and totaled 34 rushing yards on 11 carries before coming out. With Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert also injured, this leaves the Panthers in a desperate position.

Rookie Darrin Reaves will take over the bulk of carries until one of the other ailing players is able to return.
