Matt Forte, Ka'Deem Carey's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 4
Chicago Bears running backs Matt Forte and Ka'Deem Carey teamed up to burn the Green Bay Packers defense early and often in Week 4. Through the fist half of the contest, Forte rushed 17 times for 80 yards, while Carey produced 23 yards on four carries in a supporting role.
The Packers took a commanding lead in the second half, but the duo still finished with solid numbers:
| Matt Forte | 23 | 122 | 5.3 | 0 | 5 | 49 | 0 |
| Ka'Deem Carey | 14 | 72 | 5.1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Forte didn't exactly get off to a hot start in 2014 due to some difficult matchups; however, his solid performance in a favorable game against a Packers shaky run defense is very reassuring for fantasy owners. In fact, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted his early prediction for the ball-carrier on Sunday:
As it turns out, he was pretty close.
While Forte's 23 carries was a healthy amount, his five receptions (six targets) only increases his value—especially in PPR leagues. The veteran ball-carrier may not have found the end zone on Sunday, but his status as a must-start fantasy player has been solidified once again.
Carey looked quick and shifty on Sunday. He received a surprising 14 carries, and made the most of them, averaging 5.1 yards per rush. He wasn't targeted in the receiving game, and as long as Forte's in the mix, the rookie won't see much action, but he's more than capable of hitting a home run any time he receives a touch.
Chad Parsons of Footballguys came away impressed:
In deeper leagues, Carey should be considered a solid handcuff for Forte going forward.
