Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 4

Timothy RappSep 28, 2014

There aren't many offenses in the NFL that could sustain two elite wide receiver options in fantasy football. The Denver Broncos are one. The Green Bay Packers are another.

The Chicago Bears continue to be on that list, too.

With a touchdown reception apiece for Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery on Sunday, Chicago's dynamic receiving pair continued to reward fantasy owners. Here's how each finished:

That's already a whopping five touchdown receptions for Marshall, and both receivers have notched seven or more fantasy points in three of four weeks.

Given his rapport with quarterback Jay Cutler, Marshall remains the more valuable player to own and is a matchup-proof option. Jeffery is more of a deep threat and thus is also streakier than the incredibly consistent Marshall. Plus, given that both Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte are also dangerous weapons in the passing game, Jeffery is best considered as a high-upside WR2.

Any way you slice it, however, both players are excellent options for fantasy owners and will continue to be so. With Cutler playing well in stretches thus far this season and the Bears continuing to throw the ball around, both Marshall and Jeffery will thrive.
