Yasiel Puig Celebrates Dodgers Clinching NL West, Opens Beers with Mouth

Dan CarsonSep 25, 2014

If there were ever a time for the Dodgers to destroy their molars in celebration, it was Wednesday night.

Los Angeles dismantled its biggest rival, tuning up the San Francisco Giants for a 9-1 victory and clinching the National League West in the process.

The Dodgers' win featured a vintage Yasiel Puig cannon throw from somewhere out in Alhambra and an even more absurd clubhouse celebration.

Dodgers writer Molly Knight brings us video revealing exactly how the 23-year-old Cuban defector commemorated the team's division-clinching victory.

In short, he opened beer bottles with his mouth and soaked everyone.

This appears to have been just the beginning of the weirdness in the Dodgers clubhouse Wednesday night.

The Associated Press (h/t ESPN) reports that Puig "hopped on a bicycle for a ride in the clubhouse after aggressively soaking everyone in sight."

We have visual confirmation of this information.

In addition to the cycling and beer slinging, the AP reports that "tubs full of melting ice got knocked over," and the clubhouse was all but flooded before the final champagne bottle popped.

Knight confirms that things got entirely and beautifully out of hand.

Knowledge is power, guys. And understanding Puig's penchant for slinging alcoholic beverages during any and all celebrations just might save your eyesight one day.
