Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky Announce Pregnancy on Instagram

The past few months have been a wild ride for Dustin Johnson, but good news is on the way, as he and Paulina Gretzky are expecting a baby.

Gretzky announced the news on Instagram with the message "@djohnsonpga & i are so excited to finally share with you all our amazing news..we're having a baby!!"

According to The Associated Press, the news was confirmed by Hambric Sports, Johnson's agent. Jason Sobel of Golf Channel joked about hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, Paulina's father, adding a member to his family:

The couple got engaged in August 2013. Johnson announced the engagement on his own Instagram account with a picture of the ring:

Johnson continued to have an excellent season on the golf course, winning the World Golf Championship HSBC Champions tournament and earning seven top-10 finishes in 17 events. He earned over $4 million in that stretch thanks to his consistent play.

However, he announced July 31 that he was going to take a leave of absence from the sport to overcome personal challenges. According to Steve DiMeglio of USA Today, the golfer explained:

I am taking a leave of absence from professional golf, effective immediately. I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced. By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion.

"

One day later, Michael Bamberger and Mike Walker of Golf.com reported Johnson had been suspended for six months after testing positive for cocaine. The PGA denied that Johnson had been suspended, however.

Hopefully, the time off and the news of the pregnancy will help him get his life and his career back on the right track.
