San Diego Chargers' Eddie Royal Dwarfed by King Dunlap in Ridiculous Photo

Dan CarsonSep 24, 2014

Perspective is a funny thing.

Photographers can capture absurd photographs by playing with the depth and angle of their subjects. Something in the background appears small, while something up close looks massive. You know how distance works.

Nonetheless, perspective worked its jaw-dropping magic during Sunday’s Chargers vs. Bills game, culminating in a hilarious picture of San Diego wideout Eddie Royal running behind offensive tackle/mountainous human being King Dunlap.

Chargers.com managing editor Ricky Henne posted a picture of the moment, wherein Royal appears to be the victim of a Mario Kart 64 lightning blast. Henne insists the image is not Photoshopped or touched up in any way.

I believe him.

Royal, listed at a generous 5’10”, is not a tall person. Couple that with Dunlap’s 6’9” monster frame and a little distance and you have a ridiculous, real-life Madden glitch moment.

Way to represent the Lollipop Guild, Royal. If only guys like you and Darren Sproles (5’6”) could exclusively run behind giant humans like Dunlap. We’d never run out of amazing pictures.
