2014 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings: Week 4

Ryan LesterSep 23, 2014

With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2014 Week 4 fantasy football running back rankings.

1. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

Forte is averaging 93.7 total yards per game. He should run wild on the Green Bay Packers. The Pack have allowed 156 rushing yards and 2.7 rushing touchdowns per game. Forte averaged 168 total yards and a pair of touchdowns against Green Bay last year.

2. DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys

Murray is averaging 149 total yards and a touchdown per game. He faces the New Orleans Saints in what should be a shootout. The Saints have allowed 101.3 rushing yards per game despite facing the Atlanta Falcons and the Minnesota Vikings sans Adrian Peterson.

3. Le’veon Bell, Pittsburgh Steelers

Bell is averaging 153.7 total yards per game. He takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. The Bucs have allowed 125.3 yards and 1.3 touchdowns per game on the ground.

4. Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers

Lacy continues to struggle averaging just 50.3 total yards per game without a touchdown. He should get right against the Chicago Bears. He averaged 115.5 total yard and a touchdown last year against them.

5. LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles

Shady is averaging 79.7 yards with just one touchdown through three games. He hasn’t exactly lived up to his expectations. With a date with the San Francisco 49ers on the horizon, your expectations for McCoy should be lowered. That said, he’s still a must-start.

6. Rashad Jennings, New York Giants

Jennings is averaging 127 total yards and 0.7 touchdowns through three games. The Washington Redskins have been tough against the run, but Jennings can produce in the passing game as well.

7. Arian Foster, Houston Texans

Foster has 270 total yards and a touchdown, but a hamstring injury forced him to miss last week. If he’s healthy he should be effective against the Buffalo Bills. Just have a backup plan in place.

8. Knile Davis, Kansas City Chiefs

Davis has 237 total yards and three touchdowns over the past two weeks while filling in for Jamaal Charles. As long as Charles’ ankle keeps him out again, Davis should be solid against the New England Patriots.

9. Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins

Miller had 132 total yards last week against the Chiefs. He should stay hot against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have allowed 158.7 rushing yards per game.

10. Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins

Morris is averaging 84.3 yards and 0.7 touchdowns. He takes aim at the New York Giants this week. Morris had 136 total yards and a touchdown in two games against the G-Men last year.

11. Donald Brown, San Diego Chargers

Brown had 89 total yards last week, and injuries have presented him with an opportunity to be the feature back. He faces Jacksonville Jaguars’ league-worst run defense. They have allowed 160 yards and 1.3 touchdowns per game on the ground.

12. Khiry Robinson, New Orleans Saints

Robinson had 69 yards as the lead back last week against the Vikings. He should have a solid game against the Cowboys. They have allowed 110 rushing yards per game.

13. C.J. Spiller, Buffalo Bills

Spiller is averaging 68 total yards and 0.7 touchdowns. He faces the Houston Texans. Spiller is due for a big game.

14. Ahmad Bradshaw, Indianapolis Colts

Bradshaw is averaging 88 total yards and a touchdown per game. He faces the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have allowed 134.3 yards and 1.3 touchdowns per game. Bradshaw has been extremely effective in the passing game.

15. Pierre Thomas, New Orleans Saints

Thomas is averaging 57.3 total yards and scored his first touchdown of the year last week. He should be very active in the passing game against the Cowboys this week.
