Although, before every fantasy owner begins to panic, first take a look at his matchup and the Bears' game plan. SportsCenter tweeted New York's rank against the run in 2014:

The ball-carrier shouldn't have been expected to have a big day on the ground. However, his production was certainly lower than anticipated.
Although, his ability to catch out of the backfield makes him a viable starting option against any defense. Forte caught six passes for 43 yards on Monday, increasing his fantasy value slightly—especially in PPR formats.
Over the last two games, Forte's output has been minimal, but he's also faced some rough opposition. Going forward, his matchups begin to soften—beginning with the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.
Be patient with Forte and continue to view him as a must-start running back each and every week.
