Ravens' Steve Smith Ties Isaac Bruce for 10th-Most 100-Yard Receiving Games

Bleacher Report MilestonesSep 22, 2014

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith recorded the 45th 100-yard receiving game of his career Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, tying Isaac Bruce for the 10th-most 100-yard receiving performances in NFL history, per Ravens assistant director of media relations Patrick Gleason.

Smith, who spent his first 13 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Carolina Panthers, has two 100-yard performances thus far for the Ravens, with 18 receptions for 290 yards and a touchdown through three games.

He also already has a pair of signature plays with his new team, having come up big when the Ravens needed him most. In Week 1, Smith hauled in an 80-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to give the Ravens a 16-15 lead over the Cincinnati Bengals in an eventual 23-16 loss. Sunday, his big play led to a victory, with Smith's 32-yard reception setting up kicker Justin Tucker for a game-winning chip-shot field goal.

Smith's 45 100-yard games are second among all active players, trailing only the 50 compiled by Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson, who has yet to record one this season. Jerry Rice holds the all-time NFL record with an incredible 76 100-yard receiving games, per Pro-Football-Reference.com's play index.
