Austin Davis, Brian Quick's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 3
St. Louis Rams quarterback Austin Davis and wide receiver Brian Quick silenced several doubters during Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys.
The two hooked up for a massive 51-yard touchdown on Sunday, helping fantasy owners who had Quick tabbed as a starter. NFL Red Zone passed along reaction from the play:

Quick was a trendy pickup by owners on the waiver wire leading up to Week 3 thanks to his early production. Prior to the Cowboys matchup, Quick totaled 14 receptions for 173 yards, but had yet to touch pay dirt.
That changed on Sunday as Davis and Quick stepped up in a big way. Quick may have caught just one other pass following the touchdown, but he still had a good day for fantasy owners.
Here's a look at the Week 3 statistics for both players:
Quick has typically been overshadowed by fellow receiver Tavon Austin, but appears to have rapport with his young quarterback. Any owners concerned that Davis wouldn't be able to pass with efficiency to Quick had those questions answered against the Cowboys.
Matt Miller of Bleacher Report passed along his thoughts on Quick's performance:
ESPN fantasy analyst Matthew Berry also believes in the third-year receiver:
| Austin Davis | 30-of-42 for 327 yards | 3 | 2 |
| Brian Quick | 2 rec. for 62 yards | 1 | N/A |
Davis' numbers on Sunday also prove he's worthy of some looks on the waiver wire for owners with quarterback issues. But even with his three touchdowns, his continued production might be contingent on the health of Shaun Hill.
Jeff Fisher has been noted as saying Hill will be the starter when he returns, per Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The huge day for Davis helps his case, but he still might not be worth adding in most fantasy leagues.
Quick, on the other hand, looks like waiver-wire gold if he's still available. Serving as a flex option, Quick should be able to exploit the Philadelphia Eagles following the team's bye in Week 4.
If Davis does remain the starter, the connection between these two players could be huge for owners.
