New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees doesn't often get rattled, but he took exception to getting thrown to the ground by a pair of Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

On a 3rd-and-long near the end of the third quarter, Vikings defendersย Captain Munnerlyn andย Robert Blanton combined to sack Brees. It was no ordinary sack, however, as the two defenders essentially bodyslammed the quarterback.

According to ESPN.com's Mike Triplett, Brees and Munnerlyn talked about the play after the game. Brees said that there was "no offense taken" on the play.

Here's what Brees said, per Triplett: โ€œHe said that wasnโ€™t a penalty. I said, โ€˜Of course it was, you suplexed me. But listen, I like you, I think youโ€™re a good football player. I appreciate the 15 yards, thank you.โ€™โ€ย

Munnerlyn was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play. It turned out to be a costly penalty, because instead of the Saints having to punt, they were given a first down. New Orleans ended up scoring a touchdown on the drive to take a 20-9 lead.
