Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch left the team's Week 3 matchup with the Green Bay Packers due to a knee injury.
Wes Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette passed along the news of Tulloch's injury:
Tulloch has 20 total tackles on the season, including two against the Packers on Sunday before leaving the field. Of those tackles, two have been for a loss and one sack this year.
Pro Football Talk provided some context on how the injury was sustained:
Michael David Smith of NBC Sports described the play: "Tulloch jumped up and down celebrating a big play today against the Packers, but he came down too hard and fell awkwardly, appearing to hurt his leg. It was reminiscent of the infamous Bill Gramatica celebration."
Tulloch is an integral part of the Lions defense, and it will be a huge loss if he can't return to the field. His status has yet to be announced at this time.
The Lions are 2-1 this season and will need Tulloch to help on the defensive side of the ball to contend in the stacked NFC.
