Dolphins vs. Chiefs Live Blog: Instant Reaction and Analysis

On Sunday, both the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs entered their Week 3 matchup with struggling passing games. In the end, it was the Chiefs passing game that came out on top.

The Chiefs (1-2) defeated the Dolphins (1-2) 34-15 for their first win of the season. Alex Smith had a solid game as he finished with 186 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Knile Davis, who started for Jamaal Charles also had a good game.

Davis rushed for 112 yards on 27 carries on the day. The Chiefs as a team rushed for 139 yards on Sunday.

It was another frustrating day for Ryan Tannehill. The Dolphins quarterback finished 21-for-43 for 205 yards and a touchdown. Tannehill was also sacked four times on Sunday.

The lone spot on offense for the Dolphins was the play of Lamar Miller. The running back finished with 15 carries for 108 yards.

The Chiefs pick up an almost a must-win in Miami. The Chiefs play the New England Patriots in Week 4 and if they had lost against the Dolphins, there was a good possibility they could start 0-4.

Now with their second straight loss, the Dolphins now face a must-win situation against the Oakland Raiders. A lost next week against the Raiders would put them at 1-3 heading into their bye week. Not to mention the Dolphins will face the Green Bay Packers in their first game coming out of their bye week.
