Melvin Ingram Injury: Updates on Chargers LB's Hip and Return

The San Diego Chargers will be without Melvin Ingram for the next few months after the defensive end was placed on the injured reserved list with a designation to return.

Ricky Henne of Chargers.com provides the details on the transaction:

The former first-round pick has been limited with injuries throughout his career, playing just four games in 2013 before being limited again in 2014. He did have a sack against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, but he will be unable to help the Chargers again until Week 11 against the Oakland Raiders.
