"Bears linebacker Shea McClellin practiced for the first time Wednesday since breaking his right hand during practice on Sept. 17.
And itโs โabout time,โ McClellin said. โIt felt too long. Overall, I felt good. Iโll continue to sit out and talk to the doctors and see where Iโm at.โ

McClellin is wearing a hard, removable cast when he plays and said it shouldnโt be a problem.
โI wore one before in college,โ McClellin said. โThis one is not quite as bad as the other one. Itโs not quite as big. I have more movement.โ

The Chicago Bears injury woes continue, as linebacker Shea McClellin reportedly suffered a hand injury during practice on Saturday.
According to theย Chicago Sun-Times' Adam L. Jahns, McClellin won't be suiting up to play in Week 3 against the New York Jets after breaking his right hand.
WGN Radio's Adam Hoge provided a quote from McClellin on the injury:
The ranks are quickly thinning in the Chicago Bears defense due to a recent spate of injuries. Jeremiah Ratliff suffered a concussion against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2, while safety Chris Conte has been limited in practice with an injured shoulder, per the team's website.

Star cornerback Charles Tillman was recently placed on injured reserve with a triceps injury.
McClellin's injury means the Bears now have key players missing at every level of the defense. The third year linebacker out of Boise State had five tackles and a sack over the course of the team's first two games this season. Chicago will have to rely on quarterback Jay Cutler and the offense to carry them through a difficult stretch of NFL action.
