The Jacksonville Jaguars' already-depleted receiving corps looks like it will be even thinner in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts, as Marqise Lee's hamstring has left his status very much in doubt.
According to The Associated Press, via The Republic, Lee left Wednesday's practice session with tightness in his right hamstring:
"A second-round draft pick from USC, Lee joined fellow receivers Cecil Shorts III (hamstring) and Allen Hurns (ankle) on the team's injury report. Shorts and Hurns were limited in practice Wednesday.
Lee also left practice last Wednesday with hamstring tightness, but returned the following day. It's unclear whether he will return as quickly this time around.
"
Lee spoke to reporters about his injury, with Michael DiRocco of ESPN reporting on Twitter that the rookie receiver wasn't optimistic about playing on Sunday:
Lee was later officially ruled out for Week 3 (via John Oehser of The O-Zone):
Through two games, Lee is tied with tight end Marcedes Lewis for the team lead with eight receptions but is only averaging 9.1 yards per catch. He has 73 yards and zero touchdowns through two games.
Expect fellow rookie Allen Robinson to see an increase in targets should Lee miss time.
