"But Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was optimistic about his starting middle linebacker’s injury when asked about it Tuesday morning.
“Rolando looks good, according to our trainers,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “[Monday] he came in and we were pleasantly surprised. But we’ll see obviously when he really starts working in. He’ll have some limitation in practice, but there is a possibility [he could play Sunday in Seattle].”

Despite playing in Weeks 4 and 5, McClain aggravated his groin injury during the Cowboys' win against the Texans yesterday. Drew Davison of Star-Telegram.com provided a statement from McClain discussing his injury following the game:
"The doctor said 2-4 weeks and it obviously hasn’t been that long. Coming back and playing after one week, you’re going to have your ups and downs. It’s all a part of the game. You need to be out there. We need everybody out there.
I think everybody is hurting at this point. It’s such a physical season, we play physical teams everywhere, and the way we try to play offense and defense we are physical too. Everybody is a little beat up. That’s just a part of the team. We’ve got a fighting spirit, so we’ve got to keep fighting.

Which was?
“Work on the field. I did it,” McClain said.
McClain refused to say whether he did enough to return to game action, but did say his groin felt better Friday than it did Thursday. But he wasn’t ready to say if it was good enough to play.
“I don’t make those decisions,” McClain said. “Guys above me make them and I follow them.”
