Some pre-draft scouting reports give players extra motivation to prove the doubters wrong once they get to the pros. Just look at New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman to see a perfect example.

The 5'10" receiver out of Kent State didn't have the best scouting report before the 2009 NFL draft. New England took a chance on him in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL draft, and ever since then, he has been working to show that he can make it in the league.

Last season, Edelman caught 105 passes for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns. Those numbers certainly indicate that he can play in the NFL.
