
2014 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Week 3
With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2014 Week 3 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Manning just keeps getting better with age. He tossed three more touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs, giving him six on the year. He’ll look to get some revenge next week against the Seattle Seahawks. They just got torched by Philip Rivers for 284 yards and three touchdowns.
2. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Brees has thrown for 570 yards and three touchdowns in two road games. He finally returns home to face the Minnesota Vikings. Brees threw 27 of his 39 touchdown passes at home last year.
3. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers definitely enjoyed playing the New York Jets last week as compared to the Seahawks in the opener. Rodgers threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns while adding 28 rushing yards. He should fling the pigskin around against the Detroit Lions.
4. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Stafford has thrown for 637 yards and three touchdowns in two games. He averaged 296 yards and a pair of touchdowns in two meetings with the Packers last year.
5. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Matty Ice is averaging 339.5 yards and a pair of touchdowns per game. He faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs have yet to be tested as they have faced a second- and third-string quarterback in their two games.
6. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts
Luck is averaging 271 yards and 2.5 touchdowns per game through the air and 19.5 yards and 0.5 touchdowns on the ground. He should torch the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags have allowed 266.5 yards per game.
7. Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles
Foles is averaging 326.5 yards and 1.5 touchdown passes per game. He faces the Washington Redskins.
8. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears
Good Jay resurfaced last week against the San Francisco 49ers as Cutler threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns. He’s averaging 262.5 yards and three touchdowns per game. He should stay in Good Jay mode against the New York Jets.
9. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Rivers continues to shine. After dropping 284 yards and three touchdowns on the Seahawks, he’s averaging 261 yards and a pair of touchdown passes. He should be able to put up big numbers against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have allowed 275.5 passing yards per game.
10. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Newton threw for 281 yards and a touchdown against the Lions. He added 19 rushing yards. Newton faces the Pittsburgh Steelers. They were recently manhandled by the Baltimore Ravens.
