Regardless, Chad Henne will have a diminished passing attack at their disposal this week. Losing a safety valve like Lewis certainly hurts—the tight end has eight receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown this year.
A reliable target and safety blanket for the quarterback, Lewis' long stint on the sidelines is just another blow to an 0-2 Jaguars team that hasn't had much momentum thus far in the 2014 season.
