Rob PollardSep 15, 2014

The transfer window may be closed until the new year, but that doesn't stop speculation surrounding potential moves when it reopens in January.

Manchester City, as ever, are likely to be linked with players incessantly between now and then.

Here we gather together all news reports related to incoming and outgoing transfers at the Etihad Stadium.

Ronaldo on City's Radar

In one of the more fanciful transfer articles written this week, John Richardson writing in the Express believes Cristiano Ronaldo may be ready to move to City.

Manchester United remain his preferred destination should he decide to leave Real Madrid, but City are also an option. Ronaldo will be 30 next summer, but due to his commercial value, Richardson believes Real would expect a fee in the region of £60 million.

Milner Set for January Move?

According to Paul Hetherington of the Daily Star, one player set to leave City in January is England international James Milner, with Everton, Arsenal and Liverpool all expected to show interest.

Milner has less than one year on his current deal and isn't a regular starter at City. The 28-year-old midfielder will likely feel a move away from the club will aid his chances of remaining part of the international picture.

A fee of £5 million is being suggested by Hetherington, although City are likely to value him at more.
