Defensive End Darryl Baldwin Could Make Decision Sunday

Defensive End Darryl Baldwin will make his decision Sunday as to which school he will attend next year.

Solon High School head coach Jim McQuaide was quoted as saying:

"As of (Wednesday) night he would like to announce his decision on Sunday. We start our practices on Monday and he wants to get it done before that."

"Could he say on Sunday, 'I'm just not ready?' That could happen. But I don't think it will. I think he is ready. We have talked every night this week and I think he will announce on Sunday."

Baldwin possesses great size at 6'5" and 255 pounds and has a nice frame to add more muscle. It seems that he has the attributes to succeed, but he will need a lot of coaching.

He has the ability to take on and shred a block, but a lot of scouts suggest that he sometimes gets tied up with blockers. Baldwin has a lot of weapons, but needs to utilize them more, something that is coachable at college, driving through the carrier, and getting his hands up and extended to force separation to get into the backfield.

Baldwin is a nice prospect and he would be a welcome addition to Notre Dame.

He has narrowed his choices down to four schools:

Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, and Notre Dame

Being an Ohio native, many suggest that Ohio State leads the pack at the moment, but if he wants to get out of his comfort zone and move away to another school, all of the others are in play.
