Milan Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of September 15

Anthony LopopoloSep 15, 2014

There is not much happening in the market, and that's probably for a good reason: Coach Pippo Inzaghi is trying to foster his own identity with the new players he has.

Fernando Torres has not made his debut for AC Milan yet, and when he is healthy, Inzaghi must find a way to accommodate the 30-year-old striker, Stephan El Shaarawy and Jeremy Menez.

Scoring is not a problem: Milan have put in eight goals in two matches. Menez has three of those, and he has been playing with confidence.

The situation is still delicate. Milan are a team hoping to rebuild. Silvio Berlusconi has visited the team at their training facility to encourage them.

Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia on Sunday (h/t Football Italia) that he does not know how far they can go, but they are playing with enthusiasm and, especially, for each other.

At this stage, it is unwise to think about players who could come in and potentially help or unsettle the team. This is an ongoing project.

But there are rumours, as always.

Milan Looking at Full-Backs

1 of 1

Milan may want some new full-backs.

Calciomercato.com reported last week that Inzaghi had already lost interest in loanee Pablo Armero, so he is apparently looking for reinforcements.

The latest option is 32-year-old Fiorentina left-back Manuel Pasqual, who made a key appearance for Italy during their Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway. Pasqual came off the bench and within seconds crossed the ball and teed up Leonardo Bonucci for a simple header.

Other moves could be made for PSG's Maxwell, Zenit's Domenico Criscito (long linked with Milan) and Newcastle's Davide Santon. These moves would happen at the end of the season, if Milan dare to qualify for the Champions League.
