
USMNT Watch: Julian Green and Brek Shea Debut for New Clubs
It was another busy weekend for Americans playing abroad as Brek Shea and Julian Green made their debuts for their new clubs. Shea picked up an assist in his first match and won Man of the Match honors.
There are also injury updates on Geoff Cameron and Paul Arriola, as well as a youth international debut for young American Gboly Ariyibi—who plays his club football in the lower divisions in England.

Tim Howard was in the net for Everton's 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, and Brad Guzan also picked up a shutout in Aston Villa's 1-0 win over Liverpool.
The Stoke Sentinel reported this week that Cameron will miss the next several months due to surgery to repair a hernia.
Finally, Jozy Altidore made the bench but did not play for Sunderland in their 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

Julian Green made his debut for Hamburger SV on Sunday but was withdrawn at the half of their 2-0 loss to Hannover.

Joe Gyau made the bench for Borussia Dortmund's first team this weekend but did not play in their 3-1 win over Freiburg.
Fabian Johnson went the distance at left midfield for Borussia Monchengladbach in their 4-1 win over Schalke.
John Anthony Brooks went 90 minutes for Hertha Berlin in their 3-1 loss to Mainz.
Timmy Chandler made the bench but did not play for Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.
In Bundesliga 2, Bobby Wood was an unused substitute in 1860 Munich's 2-1 win over St. Pauli.
Alfredo Morales went 89 minutes in Ingolstadt's 4-1 win over Aalen.
Terrence Boyd is still recovering from a knee injury.
In the English Championship
Shea had a big weekend for Birmingham by making his debut, picking up an assist and being named WhoScored's Man of the Match. Jonathan Spector came on in the 79th minute for Birmingham. Will Packwood was not in the squad for the Blues.
Tim Ream played 90 minutes at center-back in Bolton's 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
Eric Lichaj went 90 minutes at left-back for Nottingham Forest in their 1-1 draw with Derby.
Danny Williams and Stuart Holden are still out injured.
League One's Ariyibi also returned to action this weekend after spending the last week debuting for the U.S. U-20 team.
Elsewhere in Europe

Mix Diskerud started and went the distance in Rosenborg's 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt.
Rubio Rubin went 90 minutes in Utrecht's 0-0 draw with ADO Den Haag but finished as the team's lowest-rated starter via WhoScored.
Sacha Kljestan was an unused substitute for Anderlecht this weekend.
Alejandro Bedoya played 66 minutes in Nantes' 2-0 loss to Lille.
Aron Johannsson and Josh Gatt are still out injured.
South of the Border
Greg Garza and Joe Corona started and went the distance in Tijuana's 1-1 draw with Pachuca. Paul Arriola was not in the squad but indicated via Twitter that he has picked up a foot injury that will require X-rays.
Edgar Castillo played 90 minutes in Atlas' 1-1 draw with Veracruz.
Jose Torres played the final 34 minutes for Tigres in their 2-2 draw with Pumas. Herculez Gomez did not get off the bench.
Michael Orozco went the distance in Puebla's 1-1 draw with Queretaro.
