Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington provided an update on Roy Helu Jr.'s status for the week:
Original Text
Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu Jr. went down with an injury in Sunday’s contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The team’s official Twitter page shared the news:
Following the game, head coach Jay Gruden updated Helu's status:
Helu had eight carries for 25 yards on the game. Washington also lost Robert Griffin III and DeSean Jackson to injury during the same contest, per ESPN.com.
The team will continue to rely on starting ball-carrier Alfred Morris, but with multiple injuries to key names on offense, there's no doubt Washington will hope Helu is not out for long.
