Julio Jones, Roddy White's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 2

Joseph ZuckerSep 14, 2014

The only thing Atlanta Falcons fans can take solace in on Sunday is Julio Jones' seven receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown. Other than that, it was a rough day.

In a 24-10 loss on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals, Matt Ryan threw for 231, one touchdown and three interceptions. While Jones' fantasy numbers were largely spared, Roddy White wasn't so lucky. He had five receptions for 42 yards.

Of course, Jones looked to be limping late in the game, so he wasn't completely immune from the bad luck plaguing Atlanta, per Bleacher Report's Will Carroll:

Jones is obviously a must-start in every fantasy league. As Sunday demonstrates, even when Ryan has a bad day, you can count on Jones still getting his numbers. He's always going to be Ryan's top option.

White should remain a solid WR2. Especially with Tony Gonzalez gone, the Falcons don't have a wealth of options in the passing game, so the veteran wideout will remain a consistent fantasy presence. Don't panic too much after one dispiriting performance.
