Giorgio Chiellini Close to New Contract

Giorgio Chiellini is the latest Juventus player to reveal he is close to signing a new deal with the Bianconeri. “We are close to his contract extension,” his agent Davide Lippi told Sky Italia (h/t GianlucaDiMarzio.com). “Juventus will announce it, but we have some updates coming soon.”

Ciro Immobile Puts Juventus Past Behind Him

Ciro Immobile talked to Sky Italia, discussing his move to Borussia Dortmund and explaining how he has moved on from Juventus. A youth product of the Turin club, the striker opted to move abroad rather than rejoin the Bianconeri, and has since made his full Italy debut.

“The refusal to Juventus? It’s water under the bridge now,” he told them (h/t GianlucaDiMarzio.com). “I think only about Bundesliga and the national team now. The past has to stay the past.”

Juventus See Pedro as Alternative to Juan Mata

Reports in Spain believe that Juventus have identified Pedro as an alternative target in attack, Catalan newspaper Sport (h/t Football Italia) the latest to link the Turin giants with the Barcelona forward. That sees them join both As and TuttoSport in carrying the story, with Liverpool also rumoured to be interested in the player, per Football Espana.

The latest news insists that Pedro may be forced out once Luis Suarez returns to action in October, and that the move is an alternative should a Juve bid for Juan Mata fail.

Martin Caceres Close to Contract Extension

It has been reported that Martin Caceres is close to agreeing terms on a new contract with Juventus, with his agent Daniel Fonseca having recently held talks with the club. Writing on his own website, Gianluca Di Marzio notes that the Uruguayan defender should sign the extension in the coming days.

Tomas Pochettino close to joining Juventus

Tomas Pochettino is set to join Juventus, according to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio. The Italian journalist wrote on his own website that the Boca Juniors midfielder is awaiting Italian citizenship before completing the move.

That should happen in the next few weeks, freeing 18-year-old to move to the peninsula, where he seems set to move immediately on loan to Sassuolo.

Marco Verratti Extends Contract with PS-G

Marco Verratti has extended his contract with Paris-Saint Germain, drawing an end to lengthy speculation surrounding his future. The Ligue Un club announced on Monday that the Italian international had extended his stay by twelve months until June 2019, as per their official website.

He told them his desire was "to continue winning trophies with this club," ending talk (h/t Football Italia) of a move to either Juventus or Real Madrid.

Paul Pogba Admits Contract Negotiations Are Underway

Paul Pogba has confirmed talks over an extension to his current contract with Juventus are underway. The 21-year-old’s current deal expires in June 2016, and he seems set to sign for a further three years despite widespread interest in him this past summer.

"We are in negotiations for a contract renewal with Juventus," the player told TF1 (h/t Football Italia). "I will soon have a meeting with the directors." 

Arsenal and Tottenham Look at Sebastian Giovinco?

Lazio Reject Juventus Bid for Keita Balde Diao

The agent of Keita Balde Diao insists both Juventus and Liverpool made a bid for his client last summer, only to see Lazio reject their approaches.

The Spanish winger’s representative, Angelo Cascella, is quoted by Spanish news agency EFE (h/t Football Italia): "Liverpool and Juventus came in and offered €20m for Keita last summer for his services, but Lazio have always responded by rejecting the proposals." 

German Denis Turned Down Juventus

German Denis has said that he turned down the opportunity to join Juventus last month, insisting he prefers being an important player with his current club.

The Argentine striker told L’Eco di Bergamo (h/t Forza Italian Football) that he rebuffed an approach from the Bianconeri:

I had to choose whether to be the ‘Denis of Atalanta or one of a group, with the prospect of playing a lot less at Juventus. I’m 33 years old, I chose to play. [Atalanta president] Percassi did not think it was appropriate to let me go and I have no regrets
