Jason Blade: A Rising Star Ready To Shine!

Matthew HesterJul 17, 2009

Hello everyone. As always I would like to thank you again for spending a few minutes with me today.

What I am here to talk about today is a young up and comer. He is probably someone few are familiar with but he is taking the Indy scene by storm. The young man I am refereeing to today is a kid named Jason Blade.

Jason Blade's real name is Allen Ferreira and he was grown up in a small town in Rhode Island. He has spent some time in ROH, Chaotic Wrestling, ECWA, and in the NECW and that is just a few of the feds he has been in.

I first saw this kid at a local show in Connecticut while he was touring with the NECW in 2006. He was going up against another Indy wrestler named Xavier. Some may remember him; he spent a little time in the WWE.

While I knew what I was getting with Xavier, I wasn’t so sure with Jason Blade. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was this guy able to fly like a bird. He was pulling off some very impressive grappling moves.

Well I will be honest I kind of forgot about him until recently. He was in the area again and I saw him wrestle. A light bulb popped off and I thought to myself, "Hey I remember this guy.”

After the show I decided to look up some of his matches and read up a little on him. If every thing that I read was true, this kid is on the verge of making a real name for him self.

He already has a couple dark matches with TNA on his resume. He has wrestled on many occasions in ROH. In just about every match that I watched online, he has looked more than impressive.

I also found out that he is climbing up the ladder fast on the PWI charts. In 2007, he was ranked at 414, in 2008 he was ranked at 253. I am curious to see where he will rank in 2009.

I am sure that there are people who are well aware of him. I wasn’t though and he opened this “getting older" wrestling fans eyes. I will definitely be checking him out in action again the next time he is in town.

If you ever get a chance to see this kid in action I would highly recommend it. I have seen a lot of Indy shows in my life. I can honestly say that he is one of the few that made me say, wow!

I would have posted a match by him but the only ones I could find were all distorted and crusty. Trust me when I tell ya the kid is good.

Well that it for me I just wanted to throw out some props to the kid.

As always, have a great day and god bless.
