Brad Keselowski wins at Chicagoland Speedway!

Chicagoland started out like every 1.5 mile track.

One driver led the race and it would be a caution early on that would manage to shake things up.

Qualifying was rained out, and Kyle Bush started out front with a strong run. Jamie McMurray, who is not in the Chase, looked particularly strong and managed to move his way to the front.

It was Brad Keselowski though who would be leading by Lap 125.

Not all Chase drivers had strong runs though, as Kurt Busch spun out when trying to enter the pits early on, and Ryan Newman hit the wall and brought out a caution because of debris coming from his car.

As the race continued, Kevin Harvick eventually took the lead and would put drivers like Kasey Kahne a lap down.

Harvick had his pit crew swapped with the 14 team of Tony Stewart, and after having problems early on they were able to bounce back and get the 4 car out in front.

By Lap 220 Kevin Harvick was still the race leader, but rookie Kyle Larson was quickly catching up to the four car.

By Lap 233, Kyle Larson was out in front thanks to a caution. The rookie driver continued to impress at Chicagoland.

With 16 laps to go, Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick battled side-by-side for the lead, but Brad Keselowski would pass them both as the fought for the lead.

It wasn't over though as Danica Patrick got into Ricky Stenhouse Jr. with 13 laps to go and brought out another caution.

With six laps to go Keselowski would take the lead again and held it to win the Chase opener at Chicagoland!

The last time Keselowski won the Chase opener, he won the championship. Keselowski is the first Chase driver to lock himself into the next round.
