2014 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings: Week 2
With an exciting opening week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2014 Week 2 fantasy football tight end rankings.
1. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints: Graham did not score a touchdown in Week 1, so he's probably due for a pair against the Cleveland Browns. He did catch eight passes for 82 yards against Atlanta.
2. Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos: Orange Julius had three servings of touchdowns in the second quarter of Denver's win over the Indianapolis Colts. Clearly, he's dialed in with Peyton Manning and should be a force against the Kansas City Chiefs. He scored in last year's meeting with the Chiefs.
3. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots: If Gronk plays, Gronk scores. That's about where he's at right now. He scored against the Miami Dolphins. He has 43 touchdowns in 51 career games. He'll look to add to that total against the Minnesota Vikings.
4. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers: Davis had a pair of first-quarter touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys after catching 13 touchdowns last year. He'll look to stay hot against the Chicago Bears.
5. Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers: Olsen caught eight passes for 83 yards and a touchdown for Derek Anderson in Week 1. He gets Cam Newton back as the Panters face the Detroit Lions. The Lions allowed a passing score to New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell last week.
6. Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles: Ertz began what should be a breakout season with 77 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This week, he faces the Colts. They allowed the aforementioned three touchdowns to Thomas last week.
7. Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens: Pitta led all tight ends in Week 1 with 10 receptions and 15 targets en route to 83 yards. Expect a heavy volume of looks against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week.
8. Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings: Rudolph scored but only managed 16 yards against the St. Louis Rams. He should be more productive against the Patriots.
9. Martellus Bennett, Chicago Bears: Bennett caught eight passes for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 1. He could see a few more looks against the Niners if Alshon Jeffery's hamstring acts up.
10. Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans: Walker had 37 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs. He faces a bad Cowboys defense in Week 2.
