Hypocrite Dana White Backs Idiot and Points Out What The UFC Needs
At this point, I am not all that concerned about all of the people who will disagree with this article...I am just not. There is only one person I would like to read this article: Dana White.
If Brock's intention was to have the majority of the MMA fan base on the "I hope he gets hit by a car when he leaves here" end of things, then he succeeded. If Dana White is planning on standing behind Brock and scrapping all of his talk about leaving the negative thoughts about MMA behind, then he is succeeding as well.
Lesnar is the epitome of the anti-champion and a great deal of the population supporting MMA are already mulling over the list of people they would like to see take his head clean off. Dana White needs to consider the range of patience his viewers have and get a super-heavy weight class going soon. Otherwise, any heavyweight is going to very simply be out-muscled by an (at best) decent fighter.
My opinion of Brock goes a little something like this. He is a douche. He is that guy nobody liked in college because of his personality and refused to tell because of his size. He carries himself at around 300 lbs. on a normal day because of years (fricking years) of steroid abuse. I am not impressed by that.
Nobody is really impressed by that and because of this fact we root for the other guy. He is simply overwhelming his opponents with size and strength. That's not impressive.
I seem to remember Dana kicking some guys off of TUF because they were acting like the unintelligent brutes and portraying an image of MMA he was so feverishly trying to shake. Hey Dana, stop being a hypocrite. This guy is exactly that but people will buy the fight hoping he gets knocked out. So Dana, putting up with this when he penalized people for similar classless behavior makes him a...wait for it...liar. It makes him a liar. Lesnar is exactly what he said he was fighting against. A troll of an oaf with a loud classless, unintelligent mouth.
We completely black list athletes who do steroids in other sports and question their legitimacy. I think someone with that sort of strength and size could overwhelm anyone who naturally carries himself at around 250. That weight differential translated equates to an exhibition match. That is a 150 pound man fighting in the 205 weight division. Who in their right mind would watch that fight and take it seriously? Why should we take it seriously further up the weight ladder? Why should a 50 pound gap fail to be recognized when the men reach a certain size? Doesn't every other combat sport have better weight divisions already?
Ridiculous. Super Heavy Weight Division.
Dana White needs to note the loud booing that came from that arena. The people at home were doing the same thing. Lesnar's list of fans is thin. He dissed a sponsor. He said he loved being hated by the fans. Please tell me this won't last long. I think Brock believes he is still in the WWE.
Please tell me a roided up behemoth with rudimentary fighting skills isn't considered the best in the UFC when more complete fighters are there. Fans know the same thing I do about his talent. Remove his ability to overpower his opponents and what is he? Nothing, an overweight wrestler. He isn't "extremely mobile for his size." There is simply no place to run in the octagon.
Please marry the comments as of yet. No cap on the heavy weight division + 50-60 lbs. of muscle difference = a future in the heavy weight division that is going to get old quickly.
I don't think anyone, including myself, is just loving that Brock is going to sit on top of the heavyweight division for any length of time. I hate that guy. I don't want to watch him fight. I want to watch him lose...see the difference. It might sell tickets but it doesn't back what Dana has been saying.
Dana, grow a pair and reign in this guy. Tell him to apologize to Bud Light. Tell him to apologize to us and then you do the same for being a two face...at least admit that you are a conflicted person who loves money. Do what is right for MMA and create a Super Heavy division so some defensive linemen as strong as Brock can monkey stomp his face and give us what we all want: justice for the crimes committed against us in continuing with a heavyweight division that doesn't work anymore.
