The dangerous Rams pass rush was expected to be a major factor in this game, but it was the Minnesota pass rush that truly stood out and devastated the Rams offense. The Vikings defensive line finished with five sacks, and the pressure was non-stop.

The Rams could not have been more anemic on offense. The team was held to two measly field-goals. Six drives ended in punts and two more ended in turnovers. The whole unit was rudderless and never stood a chance.

Vikings receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was easily the player of the game. He had three carries for over 100 yards and a touchdown, and he added 26 yards as a receiver. His 67-yard third-quarter touchdown is the play that truly silenced the Rams for the remainder of the game and sealed the victory for Minnesota.

The Rams have plenty of questions that must be answered moving forward. If this game is even a semi-accurate reflection of what the 2014 Rams are all about, the team is going to be in for a very long season.

The Rams will hit the road next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Vikings will host the Patriots for their home opener.

Thank you for following, and be sure to stop by next week.
