Young Cancer Patient Plays in Charity Match Between Villarreal and Celtic

A friendly match was played between Villarreal and Celtic on Wednesday night.

There were goals, a winner, a loser (Villarreal won 4-2) but most of those details hardly mattered.

The charity match was to raise funds for the 'United for Hope' project, aimed to help children affected by cancer.

One 13-year-old affected by cancer, Gohan, started the match for the hosts, lived out the boyhood dream of playing in a professional football match and scored a cheeky goal after kick-off.

His smile when being hoisted on the shoulders of his new team-mates was the clear match-winner.
